BENJI GUERRERO

I am a self taught cook that likes to rebel against tradition and reinvent what food looks like. My journey started young when I would try and shadow my mom in the kitchen. I was never allowed to cook so I taught myself when the “kitchen was closed”. As an adult I can say I’ve mastered the art of improvisation. I pride myself in being able to cook many things with limited resources since that’s how I learned. Now a days I love to reinvent tradition. I love the conversations that come about when I make something that looks and taste traditionally Mexican but is also different in the way it looks feels and sometimes taste. Food is tradition but who says we can’t create our own. I hope my recipes inspire you to try new things laugh and create your own story.
